WHY PERSONALIZE LEARNING?

Empowering students to exercise agency in their learning is the single most valuable shift that "next generation" schools are making today.  In most cases, schools use a combination of education technology and new instructional approaches to give students control over both the pace and path of their learning.

When students control and take responsibility for the core elements of their learning, they:

  • Engage more deeply

  • Tailor learning to their needs

  • Own their outcomes

Most importantly, students who drive their own learning build the lifelong learning skills (persistence, growth mindset, self-management) they need to succeed in college, career and beyond.
